On the occasion of the 16 annual International Conference of Chinese spinning Federation held on 2014 th, Yang Zhaohua, President of China Textile Association, introduced the current situation and future development of China's home textile industry.

When introducing the current situation of China's home textile industry, Yang Zhaohua said that the development of home textile industry is relatively stable this year.

In the 1-8 month, enterprises above designated size increased by 6.9% compared to the same period last year, and their profit growth reached 12.6%, indicating that the industry was developing healthfully and well.

In the 1-8 months, the export volume of US $26 billion 900 million increased by 6.2% compared with the same period last year. The number increased by 5.2% and the price increased by 1%. The United States, the European Union and Japan are still the three major export outlets for home textiles in China, maintaining growth.

Among them, the United States increased by 2.7%, the European Union increased by 13%, Japan fell by a small margin, and the growth rate was -1.2%.

At the same time, the industry has also encountered great challenges, mainly from the larger price difference between domestic and foreign cotton brought by China's cotton policy. Although the domestic cotton price has dropped rapidly in the past month, the price difference is still around 3000 yuan.

In addition, there is an increase in labor costs.

As residents disappear

Traditional channels are facing great challenges in changing habits.

Mainly reflected in the rapid development of e-commerce, 2013 home textile industry e-commerce growth rate reached 102%, sales of 57 billion yuan.

E-commerce grew by 49% in the 1-8 months of this year, with annual sales expected to reach 80 billion.

In addition, rising costs and exchange rate changes also bring competition pressure to the industry.

Speaking of the future development of home textile industry, Yang Zhaohua said that China's home textile industry is willing to cooperate with other countries.

First, China is a huge consumer market. In 2013, domestic consumption exceeded 100 billion dollars, becoming the largest market in the world, and will continue to grow in the future.

Secondly, China is also the largest exporter of home textiles, and it is a good opportunity for Chinese enterprises to cooperate with overseas enterprises under the big difference between inside and outside cotton. Many domestic enterprises are not importing raw materials in the past two years, but from the purchase of finished products from India and Pakistan, especially the demand for grey cloth, increasing year by year.

In the near future, we will increase the purchase quantity and invest in the long term, which will help to open up the domestic market and the three market.
